When I was a child, I lived in a small town. There are many tiny furniture makers there and many artisans lived in my neighborhood. Every day they were making various kinds of furniture, such as chairs, desks, tables, and so on. I could see that process and seeing them was very interesting and exciting! From time to time, some of the artisans called me and said, ” Come here. Give you these wood chips. You can use them as you like.”
I was very happy to get these tiny chips, and I sometimes made something good. It was my great memory.
Unfortunately, that place is gone now. Small many manufacturers merged into larger factories. Then artisans moved to a new place. The development is hopeful, but I also feel a little sad.
